Cipriani, which has hotels and restaurants in many countries and also sells food products, has moved its chocolate-making facility from Milan to New York. And it has opened a temporary boutique selling the often whimsical, fashion-forward gift items, like molded chocolate handbags in several sizes and designs, platform stilettos, teddy bears, hearts and such. There is also a limited selection of boxed chocolate bonbons with fillings like nuts, ginger and coffee. The chocolatiers, Baptiste Roudel and Cristiano Spinoni, use cacao from Madagascar for their dark chocolate and cacao from Peru for the milk.
