Kimberly Ann Duva and Meredith Reade Miller were married Dec. 16 at their apartment in Manhattan. Hilary Gingold, a civil court judge with chambers in Brooklyn, officiated.
Ms. Duva (left), 48, is the global head of premium accounts in the advertising division of Amazon in Manhattan. She graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., and received an M.B.A. from N.Y.U.
She is the daughter of Judith A. Duva of Bayville, N.Y., and the late Philip Duva. Her father was a supervisor with the United States Postal Service in Melville, N.Y. Her mother retired from North Shore Hospital at Glen Cove, N.Y., where she was an emergency registrar.
Ms. Miller, 44, is a professor of law at Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Central Islip, N.Y. She is also the principal lawyer in Miller Law, based in Manhattan.
She graduated from Union College in Schenectady N.Y., and received a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. She also received a master of laws degree in legal education from Temple. She serves on the board of the L.G.B.T. Bar Association and Foundation of Greater New York, as president of the Network of Bar Leaders, and as a commissioner on the Richard C. Failla L.G.B.T.Q. Commission for the New York Unified Court System.
She is the daughter of Anita R. Miller and Dr. Paul S. Miller of Demarest, N.J. Her father is a dentist in private practice in Fort Lee, N.J. Her mother retired as the executive director of several nonprofit organizations; she now serves as the office coordinator of her husband’s practice.
The couple met in 2004 at a friend’s birthday party in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
