Jonathan David Naymark and Amit Reuveny Paley were married Nov. 23 at the Rainbow Room in New York. Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum officiated.
Mr. Naymark (left), 37, is the head of partnerships and business development for Codecademy, an interactive platform that teaches programming languages, based in New York. He graduated from McGill University and received an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
He is the son of Sima J. Naymark and Leonard Naymark of Toronto. The groom’s mother is the vice principal of Lester B. Pearson High School in Toronto. His father, who is retired, was a lawyer in private practice in Toronto.
Mr. Paley, also 37, is the chief executive and the executive director of the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for L.G.B.T.Q. youth, with its main offices in Los Angeles and New York. He is a member of the board of the Center for Public Integrity, a nonprofit investigative news outlet based in Washington. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and received an M.B.A. and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia.
He is the son of Ziva R. Paley and Joseph W. Paley of Newton, Mass. The groom’s mother, who is retired, was a biochemist for M.I.T. in Cambridge, Mass. His father is a real estate developer for Frontier Development in Lowell, Mass.
The couple met in October 2014 at a dinner party in New York.
