Dr. Barie Jessica Salmon and David Michael Miller were married Nov. 23 at the Fresh Meadow Country Club in Lake Success, N.Y. Rabbi Abraham Eckstein of Temple Israel of Great Neck, officiated.
The bride, 33, is a clinical assistant professor at the N.Y.U. School of Medicine and an attending physician of observation medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. She graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., and received a medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Salmon is a founder and board member of Student Movement Against Cancer, a student-run nonprofit organization in Scotch Plains, N.J., that raises money for cancer patients, research and awareness.
She is a daughter of Meryl G. Salmon and Jon Salmon of Jersey City. The bride’s father is a real estate developer and the owner of Salmon Real Estate in Castleton Corners, Staten Island. Her mother is the assistant executive director of Children at Play, an early intervention center for children with special needs, in Bulls Head, Staten Island.
The groom, 32, is a founder of Label, a luxury custom clothing brand, and Alteration Specialists, a full-service tailoring company, both in Manhattan. He graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern. He is pursuing an M.B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a son of Dr. Monte Miller of Great Neck, N.Y., and the late Miriam Miller. The groom’s father is a pediatric dentist with private practices in Westhampton, N.Y., Commack, N.Y., and Brooklyn. His mother was a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Great Neck and a licensed social worker at North Shore LIJ, now known as Northwell Health, in Manhasset, N.Y.
The couple met in April 2017 through the League, a dating app.
