Ann Christina O’Connell and Joseph Patrick Heaney were married Nov. 23 at the Union League Club in New York. Mariana Sanchez de Ovando, a minister with American Marriage Ministries and a friend of the couple, officiated.
Mrs. Heaney, 52, works in New York as a senior account executive in the wellness division of the insurance company Humana, where she specializes in employee assistance program benefits. She graduated from Colgate, and received a law degree from Fordham. She also holds a master of social work from N.Y.U.
She is a daughter of Christina O’Connell-Duggan of Short Hills, N.J., and the late Thomas R. O’Connell. She is also a stepdaughter of Edward J. Duggan.
Mr. Heaney, 54, works in New York as a senior vice president of the insurance company MetLife. He graduated from Lehigh.
He is a son of Carol Ann Heaney of Summit, N.J., and the late Michael J. Heaney.
The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met in 2013 in New York.
