Zoe Marenia Sawka and Dr. James Hart Stoeckle were married Sept. 7. Sarah W. Brassard, an interfaith minister, officiated at a private residence, rented for the occasion, in Chatham, Mass.
Mrs. Stoeckle, 30, is the cross-channel strategy manager on the central growth team at WeWork, a New York provider of shared work space. She graduated from Vanderbilt.
She is the daughter of Pamela E. Wise of Chatham and John Sawka of Naples, Fla. The bride’s father is a residential real estate agent in the Naples office of Amerivest Realty. Her mother is also a residential real estate agent, for Pine Acres Realty in Chatham. The bride is also the stepdaughter of Kristine Sawka and of Christopher D. Wise.
Dr. Stoeckle, 32, is a clinical fellow in hematology and oncology at NYU Langone Health. He also graduated from Vanderbilt and received a medical degree from Tulane.
He is the son of Dr. Catherine C. Hart and Dr. Mark Y. Stoeckle of New York. His mother, an internist, is in private practice in New York, and is also is a clinical associate professor of medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College. His father, also an internist, is a senior research associate at Rockefeller University, in New York, studying environmental genomics.
The groom is also the grandson of Kitty Carlisle Hart, the actress, singer and arts supporter, and Moss Hart, a playwright and theater director whose work included “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” and “You Can’t Take It With You.”
The couple met on Bumble, the dating app, in 2017 and had their first date at a bar in Boston, where both were living at the time.
