Zoë Elizabeth Lerner Bibb and James Thomas Bright were married June 15 at Clearview Farm in Southampton, N.Y., the home and horse farm of Lin White and William B. White. Daisy A. Freund, a friend of the bride who is a Universal Life minister, officiated, with James A. Stephens, a friend of the groom, taking part.
Ms. Bibb, 33, is a marketing manager focusing on financial data products at Bloomberg, the financial technology company in New York. She graduated from Vanderbilt.
She is the daughter of Liza Lerner of New York and D. Porter Bibb III of Southampton; and a stepdaughter of Alexandra Penn-Bibb. The bride’s father is a managing partner in MediaTech Capital Partners, a private merchant bank and strategic advisory firm in New York. Her mother is an interior designer with her own firm in New York. She is also a theater producer whose productions include “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever” (2010) in New York and “Brigadoon” (2014) in Chicago.
The bride is a maternal granddaughter of Alan Jay Lerner, the American lyricist and librettist. He was part of the Lerner and Lowe team whose plays include “Camelot,” “My Fair Lady,” “Brigadoon” and “Gigi.”
She is also a granddaughter of Nancy Olson Livingston, an actress noted for her supporting role as Betty Schaefer in “Sunset Boulevard,” and a step-granddaughter of Alan Livingston, who was the president of Capitol Records and the creator of the popular TV character Bozo the Clown.
Mr. Bright, 36, is an investment analyst at BlueMar Capital Management, a hedge fund in New York. He graduated from Trinity College, and received an M.B.A. from Columbia.
He is the son of Mary S. Bright and James R. Bright of Shaker Heights, Ohio. The groom’s mother retired as a lawyer at University Hospitals in Cleveland. She is on the board of the Cleveland Play House and is the vice president of Family Promise of Greater Cleveland, which provides support to homeless families. His father is an estate planning lawyer at Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell in Cleveland. He is on the board of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met in 2015 through the dating app Tinder, and quickly found they had seven friends in common. Three weeks later they had their first date at a bar in New York.
