New York Fashion Week rolled into town and left behind a sea of empty champagne bottles.
Saks kicked things off on Feb. 8 with a cocktail party a few blocks from its Fifth Avenue flagship, hosted by Emma Roberts at the Jazz Club at the Aman New York. Two nights later, Document Journal and Loewe Perfumes held a throbbing dance party atop the new Virgin Hotel in Manhattan. Guests marveled at the glittery skyline and danced till the early morning under the hypnotic beats of the Carry Nation and Fatherhood.
And LaQuan Smith held a playful after-party at the Moxy LES on Feb. 13 that felt like a celebration of self-expressive fashion. The celebrity-filled crowd included Lil Nas X, Teyana Taylor, Ice Spice and Diplo.
Lil Nas X turned New York Fashion Week into his own private runway, turning up in front rows and after-parties in one bedazzled outfit after the next.
Eric André and Emily Ratajkowski showed up at LaQuan Smith’s after-party, a day before going Instagram official on Valentine’s Day.

Charlie XCX and Big Freedia performed at the Saks party to a smartly dressed crowd nibbling on pizza and caviar bumps.
‘The camo jacket was inspired by André Leon Talley’s infamous Norma Kamali wrap coat. I wanted to pay homage to one of my inspirations.’ — Armiel Chandler at LaQuan Smith
