Unless you are this man, you are probably aware that the United States will elect a president next year, and that many candidates are running for the job. You are probably also aware that lots of people have thoughts about what will happen between now and then, and how the “real” America could affect it all.
There is no shortage of information or punditry on these topics. But we wanted to try something different. So we sent writers and photographers who basically never cover politics on the road.
They traveled along four critical campaign trails, meeting with politicians, small-business owners, teenagers, farmers, religious leaders, historians, writers, metalheads (!) and educators to find out what those people want to see, locally and nationally. All of that is contained in the links below. We promise you won’t find any diner photos. Enjoy!
