Tiffany Monique Pippins and Griseliris Concepcion were married Sept. 1 in a gazebo at the Tanglewood Preserves in Rockville Centre, N.Y. Ysabel Victorio, a Universal Life minister and an aunt of Ms. Concepcion, officiated.
Ms. Pippins (right), 34, is a program director at Eastside House Settlement, a youth development organization for the underserved community in the South Bronx. She graduated from Queens College.
She is a daughter of Sharon D. Pippins and Pierre R. Pippins of Freeport N.Y. Ms. Pippins’s father is a retired independent carpenter in Smithtown, N.Y. Her mother is a retired pharmacist assistant of St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, N.Y.
Ms. Concepcion, 32, works in Manhattan as an education specialist for the Police Athletic League, a New York City youth development agency. She graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz and received a master’s degree in secondary Spanish education from City College.
She is a daughter of Gladys Concepcion and Francisco Concepcion of Manhattan. Ms. Concepcion’s father is a tax accountant for Dominican immigrants of the Inwood and Washington Heights sections of Manhattan.
