If your summer road trip takes you to New York’s Southern Tier, along the border with Pennsylvania, or to the Finger Lakes wine country, plan a stop in Corning, the city known for glassware and home of the vast collection in its Museum of Glass. Starting Saturday and running through the end of the year there’s a new exhibit that explores the connection between glass and wine, from ancient Rome to the present. A sealed bottle of wine from an 18th century shipwreck and an elaborate glass wine jug cut in a Russian pattern are among the objects on display.
