Since 2004, the Modern Love column has brought personal essays about relationships, written by our readers, to the pages of The New York Times. Now eight of these stories have served as the inspiration for episodes of Amazon’s “Modern Love,” a TV series from The New York Times and Prime Video that will drop worldwide on Friday, Oct. 18.
The show features Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, John Slattery, Andy Garcia, Catherine Keener, Cristin Milioti, Andrew Scott (yup) and many others. John Carney (“Once,” “Begin Again,” “Sing Street”) serves as writer, director and executive producer; Sharon Horgan (“Catastrophe,” “Divorce”) and Tom Hall (“Sensation”) each wrote and directed an episode; Emmy Rossum (“Shameless”) directed another.
We’ll bring you more episode information in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, here are some things Modern Love fans can do:
Thanks, and we hope you enjoy the show. — Daniel Jones, Editor, Modern Love
