Teresa Mildred Gianotti and John Robert Bohrer were married Oct. 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. The Rev. Kevin M. Smith, a Roman Catholic priest and a cousin of the bride, performed the ceremony.
Ms. Gianotti, 28, is a news producer for “Today,” the NBC morning show; she works in Manhattan. She graduated from Fordham.
She is a daughter of Rita Ciolli and Peter M. Gianotti of Huntington, N.Y. The bride’s mother is the editorial page editor of Newsday. The bride’s father was the newspaper’s fine-dining and spirits critic from 1985 until September, when he retired.
Mr. Bohrer, 35, is the executive producer of “The 11th Hour With Brian Williams” on MSNBC; he works in Manhattan. He graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Md., and is the author of “The Revolution of Robert Kennedy: From Power to Protest After J.F.K.,” (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2017).
He is a son of Joanne Richards Bohrer and Gerald E. Bohrer of Monroe Township, N.J. The groom’s mother retired as the head teacher in the kindergarten annex at Public School 23 in Jersey City, N.J. His father retired as the principal at the Perth Amboy Vocational Technical School in Perth Amboy, N.J.
The couple met in 2013 when both were working at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on “Up With Steve Kornacki,” a news and opinion morning show on MSNBC.
