This Breast Cancer Awareness month, luxury shoe designer Tamara Mellon is giving back in a major way. In an effort to make sure women prioritize their health, Mellon’s launching the #LoveYourMellons campaign.
In it, Mellon captures women of different races and backgrounds posing topless to show off, well, their “mellons.” In one photo, a woman poses proudly as she shows off the scars from her breast surgery. In another, two women pose with their arms interlocked with big smiles on their faces. “I participated because I felt like this was a great cause and I really wanted to be apart of something so great! My very close friend’s mother died of breast cancer and an aunt of mine so this has really hit home for me,” Shana, one of the women featured in the photo, said.

Starting on October 8, the luxury shoe designer is teaming up with Alinea Medical, a California-based digital mammography and ultrasound service, to take over an RV in Los Angeles to offer local residents complimentary mammograms, regardless of their insurance status. The promotion will run until October 10. If a woman’s test comes back and shows any abnormal activity, Mellon will help the patient qualify for Every Woman Counts, a free service offered to people in California’s underserved areas.
