Stephanie Carol Hagen and Ludovic Mathieu René Wiart were married Aug. 30 at the Mairie de Saint-Ismier in Isère, France. Henri Baile, the mayor of Saint-Ismier, officiated. On Aug. 31, the couple took part a second ceremony at the Château de Sassenage in Sassenage, France.
The bride, who is 30, is the head of conferences and digital content at Autonomy, a Paris-based urban mobility company. She graduated from Boston University and received a master’s degree in international public management from Institut d’études politiques de Paris in France.
She is a daughter of Suzanne Stevenson Hagen and Steven Eric Hagen of Princeton Junction, N.J. The bride’s father is a founder and the president of PDF Systems, a software development company in Princeton Junction. Her mother, a former vice president at Citibank in New York, owns an accounting firm, also based in Princeton Junction, that bears her name.
The groom, 33, is an aerodynamics research engineer at Onera, the French Aerospace Lab in Meudon, France. On Sept. 16, he will join the aerospace company Safran, in Melun, France, as an engine integration specialist. He received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Grenoble INP, and is a Ph.D. candidate in mechanical science at La Sorbonne Université in Paris.
He is a son of Monique Jeanne Léna Wiart and Daniel Albert Wiart of Saint-Ismier. The groom’s mother was an executive assistant at Caterpillar in Grenoble, France, before she became a stay-at-home-parent. His father retired as the loan manager at Banque Populaire des Alpes, near Grenoble.
The couple met through the dating app Tinder in Paris in July 2015.
