Shelly Flora Bendit and Sherif Adly Ibrahim were married Sept. 7 at the Estate at Farrington Lake, an events space in East Brunswick, N.J. Rabbi Scott Matous officiated.
Ms. Bendit, 28, is a senior communications consultant in Manhattan for CVS Health. She graduated from the University at Buffalo and received a master’s degree in election and campaign management from Fordham.
She is a daughter of Irina Bendit and Mark Bendit of Manalapan, N.J. The bride’s father is a custodial engineer for the New York City Board of Education in New Dorp, Staten Island. Her mother is a stay-at-home parent.
Mr. Ibrahim, 27, is a credit analyst for Toorak Capital, a real estate financial services firm in Summit, N.J., where he analyzes investments. He graduated from Baruch College.
He is a son of Fatma Ibrahim and Adly M. Ibrahim of Brooklyn. The groom’s mother is a stay-at-home parent. His father, who is retired, was a cook at Timmy’s, which was in Manhattan.
The couple met in the eighth grade in 2005 at Christa McAuliffe School in Brooklyn and have been a couple since.
