Scott Alexander Hess and Marcos Antonio Rodriguez were married June 1 at the Church of the Holy Trinity in New York. The Rev. John Beddingfield, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony.
Mr. Hess (left), 57, is a novelist and author of “Skyscraper” (Lethe Press, 2016) and “The River Runs Red,” which is to be released by Lethe Press next month. He is the director of communications at Barrier Free Living, an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence with disabilities in New York. He also teaches novel and fiction writing at Gotham Writers Workshop in New York.
He is a son Mary A. Hess of St. Louis and the late Earl A. Hess.
Mr. Rodriguez, 55, works in New York as a manager at Amex Global Business Travel, a travel management company based in Jersey City.
He is a son Ana C. Rodriguez of Elizabeth, N.J., and the late Jose L. Rodriguez
The couple met in 2013 on a dating site.
