Sarah Lawton Rogers and Daniel James Watt were married June 1 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Joseph Wallace-Williams, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony.
The bride, who is 36 and works in New York, is a director of strategy for the Freeman Company, a Dallas-based company that provides integrated services for marketing and brand-building events. She graduated from Vanderbilt University, from which she also received a master’s degree in organizational leadership.
She is a daughter of Penelope Short Rogers of St. Louis, and Morris Weldon Rogers III of Boca Grande, Fla. The bride’s father retired as the president and owner of EckAdams, a company in St. Louis that manufactured office furniture. Her mother is the founder and owner of the Highland Hedgehog, a home and fashion accessories retailer in St. Louis.
The groom, who is 33 and also works in New York, is a senior manager in the transaction advisory services practice of EisnerAmper, an accounting firm, where he advises clients on mergers and acquisitions. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut, from which he also received a master’s degree in accounting.
He is a son of Marjorie Watt and James Douglas Watt of Westport, Conn. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent. His father is the chief audit executive at Fannie Mae in Washington, having retired as a partner from the banking practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.
The couple met on Bumble in July 2017.
