Samantha Kate Wechsler and Evan Ronald Cantor were married July 20 at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, N.Y. Rabbi Eric Polokoff officiated.
In August, Mrs. Cantor, 29, is to begin working as a vice president in the investment management division at Goldman Sachs in New York. She graduated from Cornell, and received an M.B.A. from Harvard.
She is the daughter of Patricia Newburger and Bradley J. Wechsler of New York. The bride’s father is based in New York as the chairman of the IMAX Corporation, a Canadian film technology company specializing in the design and manufacturing of large-format cinema equipment and technology. He is also the chief executive of Elysium Management, a wealth management firm in New York. He is on the boards of NYU Langone Health in New York and Math for America, which promotes recruitment and retention of math and science teachers in New York City schools. Her mother is the executive vice president for strategy at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Mr. Cantor, 28, is an investment analyst at Junto Capital, a hedge fund in New York. He graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, and received an M.B.A. from Stanford.
He is a son of Diana Cantor and Eric Cantor of Richmond, Va. The groom’s mother is a partner in Alternative Investment Management in New York, and on the global association board of 100 Women in Finance, which empowers women in the industry. His father is the vice chairman and a managing director at Moelis & Company in New York, an independent investment bank providing financial advisory services. From 2001 to 2014, he represented Virginia’s seventh congressional district as a Republican, and in 2011 became the majority leader of the United States House of Representatives.
The couple met in 2011 as summer interns at Goldman Sachs.
