Samantha Hindel Meyer and Edward John McGarrigle were married Dec. 21 at Maritime Parc, an events space in Jersey City, N.J. Brian Pramberger, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the occasion, led a ceremony incorporating Jewish traditions.
Mrs. McGarrigle, 31, is an associate media director at 360i, a digital marketing agency in New York. She graduated from Towson University in Towson, Md.
She is a daughter of Norma Wegbreit Meyer and Mark D. Meyer of Marlboro, N.J. The bride’s father is an independent building contractor based in Marlboro. Her mother retired as the expense manager in the advertising department of The New York Times. She works as a director of finance for clients in New Jersey at CFO Strategies in Monroe, N.J., providing outsourced accounting and financial reporting services.
Mr. McGarrigle, 31, works as a technical account manager in digital advertising at Live Nation NYC, a live entertainment producer in New York. He graduated from Rutgers.
He is the son of Joanna McGarrigle and Edward McGarrigle of Toms River, N.J. The groom’s mother is an assistant teacher at Holy Cross Nursery School in Toms River. His father retired as a driver in New Jersey at UPS, the package delivery company.
The couple met in 2014 while working at the same digital advertising agency in New York. A year and a half later when Ms. Meyer was heading off to another job, she joined Mr. McGarrigle and other colleagues for farewell drinks and a round of karaoke. But for Mr. McGarrigle and Ms. Meyer it also marked the start of their relationship.
