Samantha Helen London and Jason Hollander Sunshine were married Dec. 7 at the Rainbow Room, an events space in New York. Rabbi Marc Schneier officiated, with David N. Dinkins, the former mayor of New York and the groom’s godfather, taking part.
The bride, 27, is the managing editor at The Observer, in New York. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia.
She is the daughter of Allison M. London of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Barry L. London of Westlake Village, Calif. The bride’s father, who is retired, was the vice chairman of the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles. Her mother is the head of business development at GoDo, a financial technology company based in Jackson Hole.
Up until October, the groom, also 27, was a lawyer for the law firm Morgan and Morgan in Orlando, Fla., where he worked in the products liability group. He graduated from Columbia, from which he received a law degree.
He is a son of Dr. Nancy L. Hollander and Ken M. Sunshine of New York. The groom’s mother is an assistant commissioner at the New York State Office of Mental Health in Albany, N.Y. His father is the founder and the president of Sunshine Sachs, a public relations firm in New York. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Sunshine served as the chief of staff to Mr. Dinkins.
The couple met in 2011 while taking a course on Aristotle at Columbia.
