Sarah Keyes Holmes and Christopher Paul Magalhaes were married June 28. The Rev. R. John Nelson, a minister of the Federation of Christian Ministries, officiated at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
The bride, 32, who is known as Sally, is the digital director of Marie Claire magazine in Manhattan. She graduated from Boston College.
She is the daughter of Patricia S. Holmes and Theodore E. Holmes of Manhattan. Her father, who is retired, was a producer for CBS News and “CBS Sunday Morning” and her mother, who is also retired, was an executive producer for the “CBS Evening News,” both in Manhattan. The bride’s mother is a docent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The groom, 34, works in Manhattan as the chief investment officer for Inclusive Prosperity Capital, a clean energy finance investment fund with offices in Stamford, Conn., and Rocky Hill, Conn. He graduated from N.Y.U. and received an M.B.A. from Yale.
He is the son of Monica L. Magalhaes of Paramus, N.J., and Paul E. Magalhaes of Edgewater, N.J. The groom’s mother is an accounting consultant at Ultrafabrics, a manufacturer in Tarrytown, N.Y.
The couple met in 2016 at a diner in Manhattan.
