Rina Malia Cohen and Eric Jacob Weil are to be married June 30. Rabbi Yale M. Fishman is to officiate at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, N.J.
The bride, 29, will take her husband’s name. She is an account manager at BluPrint Digital, an advertising company in Los Angeles that specializes in theater. During the school year, she also teaches the Hebrew alphabet, Jewish history and Israeli culture to fourth-graders in Sunday school at Kehillat Israel, a congregation in Pacific Palisades, Calif. She graduated from the University of Southern California.
She is the daughter of Sharon Mark Cohen and Arnold Shep Cohen of South Orange, N.J. The bride’s father is a partner in Oxfeld Cohen, a law firm in Newark, and is also an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers School of Law in Newark and the host of “The World of Work,” a weekly program on WDVR-FM in Sergeantsville, N.J. Her mother speaks on genealogical matters and is a contributing writer at The New Jersey Jewish Link, a weekly newspaper in Hackensack, N.J.
The groom, 27, is an independent television development executive in Los Angeles who was until February a development executive in the television division of Paramount in Los Angeles. He graduated from Boston University.
He a son of Bena Weil and Steven Weil of Fair Lawn, N.J. The groom’s parents owned and operated the Party Box, a retail party store that was in Lodi, N.J., and are now retired.
The couple met in 2015 when both worked at a talent agency in Beverly Hills, Calif.
