The sommelier Jordan Salcito was an early player on the canned cocktail scene when she introduced her first Ramona, a sparkling grapefruit wine spritz, back in 2016. The company’s portfolio of easy-drinking spritzes has grown since then and this month it has introduced Amarino Spritz, a lighthearted interpretation of the Italian aperitivo. Ms. Salcito said she was inspired to create this flavor after learning about the additives and artificial coloring agents in classic bitter amaro spirits used to make spritzes. All Ramona drinks are certified organic in Italy. The Amarino, not too sweet with a refreshing bitter touch, delivers a mere 5 percent alcohol; a shot of gin makes it more serious.
