Dr. Rebecca Dawn Lansky and Miriam Debra Scheiman are to be married Nov. 10 at Temple Shir Tikvah in Winchester, Mass. Rabbi Carolyn Bricklin-Small is to officiate.
Dr. Lansky (left), 49, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass. She graduated from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and received a medical degree from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.
She is a daughter of Ted M. Lansky of Somers, N.Y., and the late Linda A. Lansky. Her father retired as an independent real estate agent in White Plains, N.Y. Her mother served as an administrative assistant at the American Jewish Committee in New York.
Ms. Scheiman, 51, is a mechanical engineer in the science and medical division of Olympus Scientific Solutions America in Waltham, Mass. She graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
She is the daughter of Bernard Scheiman of Jersey City, N.J., and the late Norma Scheiman. Her father retired as a social worker at the New York City Department of Social Services. Her mother was a registered nurse with the New York State Department of Public Health.
The couple met in September 2017 through a mutual friend at a barbecue in Medford, Mass.
