Rachel Alexandra Mack and Joshua Michael Kolsky were married June 8 at Battello, a restaurant and events space in Jersey City. Cantor Cathy Lawrence officiated.
Mrs. Kolsky, 31, is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at George Washington University, from which she received a master’s degree in the same field. In July, she is to begin a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She graduated from Cornell.
She is a daughter of Robyn M. Mack and Scott E. Mack of Westfield, N.J. The bride’s father is a senior vice president and financial adviser in the Florham Park, N.J., office of Stifel Nicolaus & Company, a wealth management and investment banking company. Her mother is a learning-disabilities teacher consultant on a child-study team in the public schools of Elizabeth N.J.
Mr. Kolsky, 40, is a trial lawyer in the federal programs branch of the Justice Department’s civil division, in Washington. He graduated from the University of Virginia and received a law degree from Columbia.
He is a son of Karin L. Kolsky and Kenneth B. Kolsky of Rockville, Md. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent and then was a medical writer at the National Institute on Aging in Bethesda, Md. His father retired as the senior vice president for international operations at ICF International, a consultancy and technology services company in Fairfax, Va.
The couple met in 2016 on Tinder, and had their first date in Washington.
