Quita Nicole Jennifer St. John and Loren Snow Betts were married Sept. 7 at the Normandy Park Community Club, an events space in Normandy Park, Wash. The couple were married in a Quaker ceremony that will be solemnized by Judge Mary E. Roberts of King County Superior Court, in Seattle.
Ms. St. John (left), 42, will continue to use her name professionally. She is a criminal defense lawyer in private practice in Seattle. She also serves as a judge pro tem for King County District Court, sitting in for judges of the court who are absent. She graduated cum laude from the University of Vermont and received a law degree, also cum laude, from Seattle University.
She is the daughter of Laura P. St. John and Walter M. St. John of Grantham, N.H.
Mx. Betts, also 42, is a psychotherapist in the primary care unit at the Pacific Medical Center in Seattle. They graduated from Mount Holyoke College and received a master’s degree in social work from Smith College. Mx. Betts’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
Mx. Betts is the child of Susan Betts of Barre, Vt., and of Leon N. Betts of Waterbury, Vt.
The couple, who met at a Halloween party in 2015 in Kirkland, Wash., will use the surname St. Betts.
