Whatever phase of the pandemic this is, Covid is still crashing some parties. Cate Blanchett was honored at Film at Lincoln Center’s annual Chaplin Awards on Monday; two of the presenters were no-shows: Todd Haynes, who tested positive that morning, and Bradley Cooper, who said he wasn’t feeling well.
Also that night, Ziwe Fumudoh, who uses humor to push racial buttons, celebrated Season 2 of her show, “Ziwe,” at Paul’s Cocktail Lounge in TriBeCa; guests at the pink-themed party included Desus Nice, Chloe Fineman and Emily Ratajkowski.
Over at Carnegie Hall, John Williams conducted some of his blockbuster hits from “Harry Potter” and “Star Wars” at a one-night-only benefit concert on April 21.
Cate Blanchett wore a floor-length dress by Louis Vuitton with a shimmery asymmetrical cape.
“I think it’s pretty iconic,” said Ziwe Fumudoh, who wore a sparkling red dress from The Blonds to her pink-themed party.
The Most Dressed features great outfits from up, down and all around town.
