Some picnic-worthy accouterments have just been introduced by familiar grocery store brands. After growing salad greens for over 20 years, Satur Farms, in Cutchogue, N.Y., has introduced vinaigrette-style dressings created by Eberhard Müller, an owner and a chef. Each of four varieties (spicy Asian, citrus, honey-balsamic and white truffle) comes in one-ounce single-portion packets, six to a container. They are all organic, made without preservatives and useful not just for a bowl of greens but to season seafood and grains. Also portable are single-serving packs of crisp pickle spears, the latest from Rick Field of Rick’s Picks in Brooklyn. Called “Snacking Pickles,” they come in five flavors — garlic-dill, sweet, sour, spicy Sriracha and cumin-lime-dill — in 2.2-ounce packs.
Satur Farms Dressings, available at Agata & Valentina, FoodKick and for $6.99 at Fresh Direct per pouch of six; Snacking Pickles, $2.49 at Whole Foods, Amazon.
