Phoebe Zimmer and Samuel Foxen Boyd were married April 26 at the Beverly Hills Court House in Beverly Hills, Calif. On May 11, the couple are to take part in a celebration ceremony, led by Amanda Hymson, a friend of the couple, at Hotel Esencia in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The bride, 28, is a television executive at Amazon Studios in Los Angeles, where she specializes in young adult programming. She graduated from Wesleyan University.
She is the daughter of Romi Lassally and Jeremy Zimmer, both of Los Angeles. The bride’s father is a founder and the chief executive of United Talent Agency, a talent and literary agency in Los Angeles. Her mother is the founder and co-executive director of Ready to Succeed LA, a nonprofit organization that supports foster youth as they move through college and into the work force.
The groom, also 28, is a filmmaker who recently wrote and directed his first feature film, “In a Relationship,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and later in theaters in 2018. He graduated from N.Y.U.
He is a son of Gabrielle Marie Doré and Michael A. Boyd of Los Angeles. The groom’s parents founded Boyd Design, a Los Angeles-based consultancy that restores and preserves modernist architecture.
The couple met at the house of a mutual friend just after their freshman year of college in 2009.
