Omar Alexis Toro-Vaca and Matthew Donavan Youmans were married July 12 at the Harbor View Lawn in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Steven Thomson, ordained through American Marriage Ministries for the occasion and a friend of the couple, officiated.
Mr. Toro-Vaca (left), 40, is the senior vice president for real estate at Kasirer, a lobbying and government affairs firm in Manhattan. He graduated from Pratt, and received a master’s degree in public administration, urban and social policy from Columbia.
He is a son of Cecilia Vaca-Herrera of Lavon, Tex., and Dr. Luis Toro-Figueroa of Arecibo, P.R.
Mr. Youmans, 33, is a fashion and fine art photography agent and producer in the Manhattan office of Camera Club, which represents photographers and filmmakers in New York and London. He graduated from the University of Georgia.
He is the son of Linda Youmans and Donnie Youmans of Augusta, Ga.
The couple met in July 2018 while swimming far from a sandbar at People’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park in Far Rockaway, Queens.
