A pop-up shop with an exclusive collection of MCM’s iconic logo plastered on classic bags and collectibles is basically every hypebeast’s dream. And as of today, that dream has become reality thanks to Nordstrom’s ongoing pop-up shop series, Pop-In@Nordstrom, a themed shopping experience that allows customers to shop new and exclusive merchandise from their favorite brands.

For this month’s pop-up shop, Pop-In@Nordstrom is highlighting the history and cultural impact of luxury travel goods brand MCM by showcasing the brand’s new limited-edition capsule collection. Curated by Nordstrom’s vice president of creative projects, Olivia Kim, shoppers have over 100 exclusive MCM pieces to choose from (for both men and women), including handbags and backpacks, slides, hoodies, wallets, and more.
The collection also sees MCM’s signature logo appear on lifestyle pieces like a Swell water bottle, Wilson basketball, New Era caps and bucket hats, and Everlast boxing gloves.
Kim, a loyal supporter of the luxury brand, traveled to the MCM archives in order to piece together the entire collection. “I have been a long-time fan of MCM, I love the timeless, yet modern and cool appeal of their pieces. It was incredible to dive into the brand’s archives and be given the opportunity to bring the world of MCM to life in our shops,” she said. “MCM and Nordstrom are likeminded in offering product that is intended for everyone regardless of age, gender or lifestyle. We are excited to bring our customers this collection of new classics.”

To showcase the new pieces, Kim recruited legendary hip-hip pioneer Slick Rick, and photographer Sue Kwon for the glossy campaign. In it, Slick Rick—known for his flashy jewelry and signature eye patch—is dressed to the nines in a dapper gray suit with stacks of MCM backpacks and duffels surrounding him.
“As MCM’s retail footprint continues to grow, we are committed to delivering a shopping assortment and environment that consistently exceeds our customer’s expectations, introduces them to the world of MCM and makes shopping what it should be, an experience,” said Patrick J. Valeo, III president, of MCM the Americas. “Nordstrom, specifically Olivia Kim and her team, are key forward-thinking partners for MCM and share our creative vision in offering innovative and fresh styles to all our customers.”
The MCM pop-up shop will be available in 10 Nordstrom locations across the states, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and New York City, and online at nordstrom.com starting today, October 5, until November 11.
