Noah Alexander Mamis and Dr. Jason Lee Ziplow are to be married Feb. 16 at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in Manhattan. Rabbi Stuart W. Gershon is to officiate.
Mr. Mamis (left), 33, is the director of policy and research for the Democratic Majority Conference in the New York State Senate in Manhattan. He graduated from Yale and received a law degree cum laude from Georgetown.
He is the son of Susan K. Mamis of Watchung, N.J., and the late Justin E. Mamis. Mr. Mamis’s mother, who is retired, was a senior vice president financial adviser at Morgan Stanley in Harding Township, N.J. His father was the president of Noah Financial, which produced a stock market advisory letter for institutional clients, in Watchung.
Dr. Ziplow, 32, is a pediatric neurology resident at N.Y.U. Langone Health in Manhattan, and Bellevue Hospital also in Manhattan, with a focus on pediatric headache care. He graduated from Brown and received a medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y.
He is the son of Patricia R. Ziplow of North Woodmere, N.Y., and the late Howard D. Ziplow. Dr. Ziplow’s mother is an independent educational consultant and college counselor in Woodmere. His father was the chief financial officer for West Mill Clothing, which was a tuxedo and formal wear accessories manufacturing company in Woodside, Queens.
The couple met in 2015 through the dating app OkCupid.
