Nicole Marie White and Joseph Peter Caiazzo were married Nov. 16 at Our Lady of Good Voyage in Gloucester, Mass. The Rev. Frank Campo, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Caiazzo, 32, is the director of leadership giving at uAspire, a national nonprofit organization in Boston that works to improve college access and affordability. She previously served two years as a City Year AmeriCorps member in Boston, and is also a member of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. She graduated from the University of Dayton.
She is a daughter of Joan M. White and Donald J. White of Marblehead, Mass. The bride’s father retired as a marketing executive at Hill Holliday, a marketing firm in Boston. He also owns March Second, a marketing technology consulting company, also in Boston. He is now a professor in the marketing department at Salem State University in Salem, Mass.
Mr. Caiazzo, also 31, is a campaign manager for Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island. He served as a political director for Senator Bernie Sanders in the presidential primary in 2016, working in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, before moving on to serve as Rhode Island state director for Hillary for America.
He is the son of Marie A. Caiazzo and Peter T. Caiazzo of Stoneham, Mass. The groom’s mother is a medical assistant at Harvard Vanguard in Burlington, Mass. His father is an analyst for North Shore Bank in Peabody, Mass.
The couple met at a bar in Boston in May 2014.
