Natalie Madison Reid and Ryan Andrew Lecznar are to be married Sept. 1 at the West Shore Cafe, an events space in Homewood, Calif. Joshua Janiak, a college friend of the couple who was ordained through American Marriage Ministries, officiated.
The bride and groom, both 33, graduated from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.
Mrs. Lecznar, 33, is a Radio City Rockette in New York and was an assistant dance captain in 2016 for the New York Spectacular starring the Rockettes.
She is the daughter of Julianne Mack Reid of Lakewood, Wash., and Thomas L. Reid of Sun City, Ariz. The bride’s father retired as the director of government sales at Starbucks in Seattle. His focus was on getting Starbucks packaged coffee products into military commissaries and food services around the world, including Air Force One. Her mother, who is retired, was based in Redmond, Wash., as a medical sales associate covering the Pacific Northwest at ThermoFisher Scientific.
Mr. Lecznar is a portfolio manager in the New York office of Pimco, an investment management firm based in Newport Beach, Calif. He received an M.B.A. from Columbia.
He is the son of Cheri DePonte of San Jose, Calif., and Andrew J. Lecznar of Los Gatos, Calif. The groom’s mother is an owner of Winchester Western Wear, a shop featuring cowboy apparel in San Jose. His father is an automotive parts technician at Sunnyvale Ford in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met in 2005 as freshmen in college, and a decade later, while they were both living in New York, she came across his profile twice on the dating app Bumble, but swiped left both times. Later that year, around Christmas, a busy time of year for her at Radio City, mutual friends persuaded her to give him a chance.
