Enter through the gift shop. The bright pink fun house called the Museum of Ice Cream opens in SoHo on Saturday. The entrance features a dipping counter where signature flavors like honey-swirled Queen Bee, crunchy Churro Churro and Malt Shake, with nubbins of malt balls, are scooped. Beyond, ticket holders will find three stories of ice cream installations, including a gallery of ice cream history and a speakeasy-style lounge where sundaes and shakes are served. Upstairs, there’s a room of bananas on strings, a space with secret doors, a pretend subway car and a stand for elastic Turkish ice cream. The lower level has the colorful sprinkles pool that the museum is known for and a big playroom with a tub full of cones. There are guides throughout to help.
Admission, $39 by advance timed ticket, Museum of Ice Cream, 558 Broadway (Prince Street), museumoficecream.com.
