Monica Hemen Desai and Noah Benjamin Weiss were married May 15 at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Tanya Litochevsky, a staff member of the city clerk’s office, officiated. On May 27, the couple is to take part in a ceremony that includes Jewish and Hindu traditions at Montes Claros, an events space in Lisbon.
Ms. Desai, 30, is an investor at Kleiner Perkins, a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, Calif., where she works in the San Francisco and New York offices. She focuses on financial technology and cryptocurrency-related start-ups. She graduated from Cornell and received an M.B.A. from Harvard.
She is the daughter of Alka H. Desai and Hemen A. Desai of Manhattan.
Mr. Weiss, 32, works in Manhattan as a senior director of product at Slack, a workplace collaboration software company based in San Francisco. He graduated with distinction from Stanford.
He is the son of Shelly H. Weiss of Brooklyn.
The couple, who both graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, met in 2014 through the dating app Hinge.
