On this week’s Modern Love podcast, the actress Debra Winger reprises her reading of “You May Want to Marry My Husband,” a moving essay written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal as she was dying from ovarian cancer.
Ms. Rosenthal passed away 10 days after her essay was published. She was a memoirist, children’s book author and public speaker.
Ms. Winger is currently working on an untitled movie directed by Miranda July. She is best known for her roles in the films “Urban Cowboy” and “Terms of Endearment.”
Next week’s podcast will feature “My Wife Said You May Want to Marry Me,” an essay written by Ms. Rosenthal’s husband a year after her death.
