Mileen Zarin and Taylor Miles Barrett-Wilsdon are to be married Oct. 20 at Bernardus Lodge and Spa, a hotel in Carmel Valley, Calif. Brian T. Borgia, a Universal Life minister, is to officiate.
The couple met at Santa Clara University, from which each graduated.
The bride, 27, is an event planner at Button, a mobile commerce platform in New York.
She is a daughter of Minoo Zarin and the stepdaughter of Khosrow Hifai of Cupertino, Calif. The bride’s stepfather is a commercial real estate developer and investor. Her mother retired as an aesthetician and the owner of Levant Skin Care Institute de Beaute in San Mateo, Calif.
The groom, 28, is an application engineer in New York for Yelp, the online-review company; he develops and maintains software applications used by the company’s employees.
He is a son of Scott T. Wilsdon and a stepson of Michelle R. Wilsdon of Carmel by-the-Sea, Calif. The groom’s stepmother is a founder of Partners for Transitions, a Carmel, Calif., company that provides estate planning services. His father is a partner in Yarmuth Wilsdon, a Seattle law firm; he works in Carmel.
The couple will take the surname Wilsdon.
