Michelle Claire Regna and Dr. Andrew John Deek were married Sept. 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Knoxville, Tenn. The Rev. Tim Sullivan, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Regna Deek, 28, is a digital and social media editor for HGTV, Travel Channel, and DIY Network in Knoxville. She graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey and received a master’s degree in information systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
She is a daughter of Claire M. Regna and Christopher E. Regna of East Brunswick, N.J. The bride’s father is a finance executive for Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, N.J. Her mother retired as an administrative assistant at Merrill Lynch in Princeton, N.J.
Dr. Deek, 27, is a medical student at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and completed his first year of oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
He is a son of Maura A. Deek and Dr. Fadi P. Deek of East Brunswick. The groom’s mother is a senior lecturer in computer science at N.J.I.T., where his father serves as the provost and the senior executive vice president.
The couple met in 2008 while at East Brunswick High School. The bride was a senior and the groom a junior.
