Merril Hermanson and Joshua Jon Pope were married March 8 at the Rendezvous Lodge at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, Wyo. The Rev. Jimmy Bartz, an Episcopal priest, officiated.
Mrs. Pope, who is 35 and works in Jackson Hole and Hong Kong, is a vice president of Mr. Christmas, a family-owned business based in New York that manufactures Christmas decorations, toys and home décor. She graduated from Princeton.
She is a daughter of Susan T. Hermanson and Terry Hermanson, both of New York. The bride’s father is the chairman of Mr. Christmas. Her mother is a member of the board of the New London Homeless Hospitality Center in New London, Conn.
Mr. Pope, 39, is a ski patroller for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and a heli-ski guide in Valdez, Alaska, at the Rendezvous Heli Ski Lodge there. In summer, he works as a fly fishing guide in Jackson.
He is the son of Evelyn Annalisa Pope and Billy R. Pope of Westport, Wash. The groom’s father is retired as a heavy equipment operator in Port Orchard, Wash.
The couple were introduced by mutual friends in February 2017 at the Jackson Hole Ski Patrol bar.
