Marie Sophia Diamond and Charles Alexander Hassett were married April 27 at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif. Amit Kumar, a friend of the couple who was ordained through the American Marriage Ministries, officiated.
Ms. Diamond, 30, is in charge of executive communications at Dropbox, the file-sharing company in San Francisco. She graduated from Yale.
She is the daughter of Patricia D. Kuehl of Temple, Tex., and Edward I. Diamond of Bend, Ore. The bride’s father, a civil engineer, retired as a manager at the California Department of Water Resources, and worked in Sacramento. Her mother is a certified nurse midwife in Temple for the Indian Health Service. The bride is the stepdaughter of Thomas J. Kuehl, an embryologist who is a research scientist at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple.
Mr. Hassett, 34, is the director for digital lending at First Republic Bank in San Francisco. He graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt, from which he also received a master’s degree in accounting.
He is a son of Cathy King Russo of Winter Park, Fla., and James A. Hassett of Key Largo, Fla. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent in the Village of Indian Hill, Ohio, and is now retired. His father retired as a partner in Ernst & Young, the New York accounting firm, for which he served as the chief executive of the Asia operations, in Hong Kong.
The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met in 2015 at a Fourth of July party in San Francisco.
