Marianne Anaïs Kurlandski and James Daniel Kovacs are to be married June 2 in the Bronx. Rabbi Julius Rabinowitz is to officiate at Wave Hill, the public garden.
Ms. Kurlandski, 36, is an associate in the private equity group, in Manhattan, of the law firm Goodwin. She graduated from the State University of New York, Albany, and received a law degree cum laude from New York Law School.
She is the daughter of Krysia Fisher Kurlandski and Alexander Kurlandski of Manhattan. The bride’s father is a software programmer at E-Trade, an electronic financial trading platform in Manhattan. Her mother retired as a curator at the Center for Jewish History in Manhattan.
Mr. Kovacs, 30, is in charge of strategy at TruSight, a financial technology company in Manhattan. He graduated from Brown.
He is a son of Ruth A. Kovacs and Peter A. Kovacs of Baton Rouge, La. The groom’s mother was a news reporter at The Birmingham News, and was then a stay-at-home parent. His father is the editor of The Advocate, a daily newspaper in Baton Rouge that was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in April for local reporting.
The couple was introduced by a mutual friend over dinner and drinks in Manhattan, in 2015.
