Maria Pickhardt Newman and Bryan Victor Fox were married May 11 in the garden of her parents’ home in Los Angeles. Tommy Newman, the bride’s brother who became a Universal Life Minister for the event, officiated.
Ms. Newman, 30, is the director of operations for Chani Nicholas, an astrology media company, in Santa Monica, Calif. She graduated from the University of Washington.
She is the daughter of Mary Pickhardt and Paul V. Newman of Los Angeles. The bride’s father is a freelance advertising content producer in Los Angeles. Her mother is an architect in Los Angeles specializing in historic preservation.
Mr. Fox, 28, is the lead video editor at FabFitFun, a consumer goods production company in Los Angeles. He graduated from N.Y.U.
He is a son of Jeannine S. Fox of Pasadena, Calif., and the late Steve L. Fox. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent. His father was a vice president in Glendale, Calif., for Wolters Kluwer, an information services company based in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands.
The couple met when they were in high school in 2007 and reconnected 10 years later when they were both living in Brooklyn.
