Madeleine Marie Marecki and Dr. Mark James Hall were married Sept. 14 at Monte de Oro Winery in Temecula, Calif. Tom Marecki Jr., a brother of the bride who became a minister with American Marriage Ministries for the event, officiated.
Mrs. Marecki-Hall, 34, is the lead writer for the American Council on Exercise, a company in San Diego that certifies personal trainers and health coaches. She graduated from Brown.
She is a daughter of Beverley E. Marecki of Morris, Conn., and the late Tom E. Marecki Sr. The bride’s father retired as a systems analyst at Yale. He previously worked in a similar role for the United Nations and served as a commissioned officer in the Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Her mother was a stay-at-home parent.
Dr. Hall, 30, is a medical doctor and commissioned officer and lieutenant in the Navy Medical Corps and is currently serving as a battalion surgeon for the Marine Corps Third Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in Twentynine Palms, Calif. From October 2018 to April 2019, he served with the Third Battalion, Fourth Marines Infantry Battalion in the Middle East. He graduated from Oregon State University and received a medical degree from New York Medical College.
He is the son of Pam L. Hall and Lee J. Hall of Portland, Ore. The groom’s father is a manager in energy efficiency at Bonneville Power Administration, a Portland-based federal agency that markets electric power from the Bonneville Dam located on the Columbia River and constructs facilities necessary to transmit that power. His father is also a retired commander in the Navy. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent and retired nurse.
The couple met in 2014 in Tarrytown, N.Y., when the groom was attending New York Medical College and the bride was living and working in Greenwich, Conn., where she was doing marketing for a nonprofit group there.
