Lydia Charlotte Ramsey and Andrew Jacob Pflanzer were married Aug. 24 at the Alice Millar Chapel in Evanston, Ill. The Rev. Dr. Carl Hansen, a Lutheran minister, performed the ceremony.
The bride, 26, is a senior health care reporter at Business Insider in New York. She graduated from Northwestern.
She is a daughter of Lisa H. Ramsey and Christian P. Ramsey of Park Ridge, Ill. The bride’s father is a software application developer at Allstate in Northbrook, Ill. Her mother is a communications professional at Health Care Service in Chicago.
The groom, also 26, works in New York as the development manager of individual giving at the Marshall Project, a nonprofit online journalism organization focusing on criminal justice in the United States. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
He is a son of Carrie L. Pflanzer and Steve R. Pflanzer of Oconomowoc, Wis. The groom’s mother is a payroll administrator at Kalmbach Media, a publisher of books and magazines, many of them railroad related, in Waukesha, Wis. His father is a pharmacy technician at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and battalion chief of the Western Lakes Fire District.
The couple met in 2012 at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, Wis.
