Linda Marie Cieslak and Robert Santos Sandoval were married Sept. 7 at Ten Peaks, an events space at the Crested Butte ski resort in Mount Crested Butte, Colo. Judge William H. Orrick III of the Federal District Court in San Francisco, for whom the groom was a law clerk until February, officiated.
Ms. Cieslak Sandoval, 28, is a special agent in the Oakland, Calif., field office of the Treasury Department. She graduated cum laude and received a master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Mexico. She is also a certified public accountant.
She is a daughter of Wendy R. Cieslak and Michael J. Cieslak of Albuquerque. Her parents, both materials engineers, retired from Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, where both were directors, he for the satellite monitoring center and she for the weapons, science and technology center.
Mr. Sandoval, also 28, is a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster, a San Francisco law firm. He graduated cum laude from Occidental College in Los Angeles and received a law degree from the University of Chicago.
He is the son of Lori Baker Sandoval and Jose Sandoval of Glendora, Calif. The groom’s mother is the fiber-optics network manager for the City of Pasadena, Calif. His father retired as the chief assistant city attorney in Santa Ana, Calif.
The couple met in 2015, when both were interns at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington. They had desks in the same hallway, and soon had their first date in Washington.
