Lauren Catharine Coward and Michael Lawrence Craig were married Jan. 18 at 501 Union, an events space in Brooklyn. Pierce Kline, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the occasion, officiated.
Mrs. Craig, 29, is the e-commerce manager for Jenny Yoo, a company specializing in bridesmaid and wedding dresses in Manhattan. She graduated from Florida State.
She is the daughter of Catharine R. Coward and Clay H. Coward of Winter Park, Fla. The bride’s father is a partner in the Orlando, Fla., office of Wicker, Smith, O’Hara, McCoy & Ford, a defense litigation law firm based in Miami. Her mother worked as a writer and editor for the development department at Rollins College in Winter Park, before becoming a stay-at-home parent. She is a volunteer at the Joe R. Lee Boys and Girls Club in Eatonville, Fla.
Mr. Craig, 31, is the director of the Northeast territory for Coastal Cloud, an information technology consulting firm based in Palm Coast, Fla. He also graduated from Florida State.
He is the son of Roxana Craig of Pompano Beach, Fla., and the late Barry L. Craig. The groom’s mother worked for the Consulate of Bolivia in Madrid, before becoming a stay-at-home parent. His father was the owner of Trimcar, an auto upholsterer in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a singer for the New York Philharmonic.
The couple met in September 2014 at the Royal, a sports bar in Manhattan where Florida State fans gather.
