Laura Alexandra Suppan and John Alexander Stewart III were married May 3 at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Joey Tai, a staff member of the city clerk’s office, officiated.
Ms. Suppan, 32, is a senior designer at Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors in Manhattan. She graduated from New Design University in St. Polten, Austria, and received a master’s degree with honors in interior design from the Parsons School of Design.
She is the daughter of Barbara M. Suppan and Wolfgang M. Zmugg of Graz, Austria. The bride’s father is the founder and chief executive of Grapos Softdrinks, a manufacturer in Lannach, Austria. Her mother is an owner of Suppan & Suppan, a graphic-design company in Graz.
Mr. Stewart, 34, is an architectural designer in the Manhattan office of Snohetta, a Norwegian design firm. He graduated from Hobart College and received a master’s degree in architecture from Parsons, where the couple met.
He is a son of Carol A. Stewart of Red Bank, N.J., and the late John A. Stewart Jr. The groom’s mother, a nurse, is a case manager in Red Bank for Genex Services, a managed care provider. His father was a yacht broker for Martin Bird & Associates in Annapolis, Md., and was the vice president of Ocean Marketing, a marine-products representative.
