Laura Beatrice Jaffee and Charles Harris Weisman were married July 20 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. Rabbi Michael Friedman officiated.
Mrs. Weisman, 29, is a director of business development at Status Labs, a digital marketing firm in New York. She graduated from Barnard College.
She is the daughter of Nancy E. Siegel of Norwalk, Conn., and Richard I. Jaffee of Westport, Conn. The bride’s father, who is retired, was a managing director at Goldman Sachs in New York. Her mother was a stay-at-home parent and is currently both an artist specializing in painting and sewing as well as an interior designer.
The bride is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Rabbi Jacob Joseph, who was the chief rabbi of New York from 1888 to 1902.
Mr. Weisman, 31, is an associate director of business development at Big Spaceship, a digital ad agency in New York. He graduated cum laude from George Washington University.
He is the son of Jody H. Post of Los Angeles and William E. Weisman of Minneapolis. The groom’s mother was a stay-at-home parent before becoming a docent at the Walker Art Museum and a member of the national council for Anderson Ranch and Jazz Aspen in Aspen, Colo. His father is retired as the chairman and founder of Weisman Enterprises, a Minneapolis-based small-transactions management company for corporations. He is on the board of organizations including the Weisman Art Museum, the University of Minnesota, the Children’s Hospital of Minnesota and the Jane Goodall Institute.
The couple met in 2013 through the dating app Tinder.
